Mærk Byen Horsens

We’ve had the honor to decorate Kulturstationen located in central Horsens, Denmark in collaboration with Mærk Byen and Horsens Kommune.

Kulturstationen is a local hub for kids, youths, adults and offers a great variety of activity - everything from music, theater, sports, arts, dance and so much more. And so we’ve had the pleasure of creating several murals and installations in a space of more than 1000sqm.



A central piece on asphalt welcoming you at the very entrance, leading you to the front door of Kulturstationen.



Smaller pathways connected to the main wayfinding path leading you to the different activities this major cultural hub has to offer.

 

We transformed a “picnic area” which is heavily used by the city’s visiting school classes - benches and tables got a colorful upgrade and wood panel paintings are binding the central piece and the picnic area together. Next to this we’ve applied artworks of foil to an otherwise anonymous steel structure.

 

Last but not least, walking a few steps down some stairs with painted hints of something more to find - the new colorful sports court and surrounding walls painted with durable sports coating to make games even more fun.
